a garden has feelings
2020–2022

each one is unique
"a garden has feelings" was made between 2020-2022, with 33 soapstone animal sculptures created during a period of restiveness and confinement. The figures, some with celestial objects, explore themes of symbiotic relationships and empathy. Raw stones, with their natural striations and colors, highlight materiality and the sculptures' tender, playful forms. This work marks a shift in my practice, emphasizing a communion with the medium to help revive connection and navigate uncertainty.
